The Feast of Tabernacles in progress. Here is a link to a sermon you may wish to watch today:
The Bible talks about several resurrections. The first resurrection, which will occur at Jesus’ return, is referred to as the better resurrection. This resurrection involves those that God has called in this life and have overcome. Revelation 20:6 refers to this first resurrection this way: “Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” Hebrews 11:35 makes a reference to a “better resurrection” for those who did not deny the faith. While this is a better resurrection, the Bible clearly teaches that those who participate in this resurrection are not “better” than those God will call later. In Matthew 19:30, Jesus words of “But many who are first will be last, and the last first.” indicate that some called later may end up with positions of higher authority. Dr. Thiel discusses this first, better resurrection.
