Letter to the Brethren: January 2, 2025

Dear Brethren and Co-Workers in Christ:

Greetings from Grover Beach, California.

We continue to deal with malware issues. And although we have made some progress, they are still not fully resolved. This is impacting our making our The Gospel of the Kingdom of God booklet available in as many languages/dialects that we have received. Please continue to pray about this.

Bible News Prophecy magazine

Although we pre-ordered copies of the next edition of our Bible News Prophecy magazine, Amazon Kindle has delayed shipping it. So, it was not mailed to our US and international subscribers yet. Oddly, even though we ordered copies early for New Zealand, that magazine (which is printed in Australia) was even a longer delay.

That said, the magazine does exist and we hope to mail it out soon.

That said, it available online. Here is a link to the Bible News Prophecy magazine, January – March 2025.

Building and Gospel Translations

Moise Nshimiyimana from Rwanda sent the following photo and report:

Dear Pastor and Overseer Dr Bob ,

Greetings from members of CCOG in Rwanda .
Dear Pastor , we continue to appreciate your support to build the house of prayer , attached you will find a photo of where the action stopped . The small part of upper wall that is remain we will do it with the roof when we will be blessed of get another money .
Another good thing is that brothers Aime from Rwanda and Norbert from Burundi continue the work we started to translate books into our language because in Rwanda , Burundi and DRCongo we speak the same traditional language. So , they started especially The good news of the Kingdom of God , Continuing history of the Church of God , Should you observe God’s Holy Days or Demonic Holiday and The Bible hymnal .
Then we will meet with them and Martin from DR Congo to correct before printing .
Sincerely ,
Moïse .

Churches are required by law to own a physical building in Rwanda, so we have provided funding for the land and materials for this, with the locals providing the labor. We expect that this will be completed some time in 2025. That should also make it so we can legally hold the Feast of Tabernacles in Rwanda this Fall.

We are also working on literature translations to better teach and reach those in Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Burundi.

Youth Camps

Evangelist Evans Ochieng sent the following:

Pastor Dr Bob,

Greetings from kenya.
I’ve received many good reports of youth camps in Africa. The reports I’m receiving are very encouraging. The report from Mozambique indicated that many youths attended youth camps in Mozambique. Only part of Mozambique was having cyclone wind and was disturbing. The reports from Malawi was very good even the youths from matiya’s congregation attended the youth camp in migowi.
                     Kenya
Kenya had many youth camp sites. Chilani. Mau, Bomet, molo, kisiî and Got kachola. I personally was in Got kachola where the services were well done and all youths were in uniform. Blue, red, yellow green and grey. The site was shinning and youths were very excited. It was the happiest youth camp and so many youths attended. Kisiî also had the highest number of youths who attended. They also had a tour to eberege factory to see how the tea is being manufactured. They walked all over the compound and see every stage of manufacturing. It was a good day for the youths to learn more. On Friday the youths at Got kachola had a meeting to plan for next year youth camp. The meeting ended that, next year the youth camp will be at Ndhiwa. And since Ndhiwa is near Lambwe game park. They will visit the Park and see many animals. Lambwe game park is having so many animals like Giraffe, buffalo, antelope, rhino, zebra, leopard etc. after that they will extend their Trip to Rusinga highland.
The youth camps ended well. …

Here are some pictures from Got kachola.

Pastor Tiongik Sawek sent the following from the Rift Valley of Kenya:

Receive greetings in Jesus name. We had a wonderful youth meeting held on 23rd to 28th December 2024 at Riftvalley, Kenya. At chilani specifically, there were 280 youths who managed to attend the meeting, Bomet merigi Taach Arwet local were 63 youths and Mau were 87 youths.
We had enough teachers who taught the youths well. We had no challenges concerning the food because the youths from chilani had planted vegetables which sustain them throughout the meeting. There were youths from other churches who were in attendance after getting reports that there were youth meetings around and they promised to join us on the sabbath. They were 12 youths who usually prayed on Sundays and 22 from other churches. We will agree with Evangelist Ochieng so that the youths from Takitech so that they do their meeting at Takitech because of the distant. There is a place called Ndamama where they requested to host the youths because of the good road network. The youths learnt alot during the meeting and they promised to behave as instructed. The youths therefore requested for the bibles- English, kiswahili and kalenjin versions. Lets pray for each other as we continue with the passing of the word of God. God bless you.
regards,

Pastor Sawek

Pastor Ezekiel Oanda sent the following from Kisii in Kenya:

Our youth camp went very well and it was successful. Although we had some challenges here and there. Four of the youths fell sick and was forced to take them to the near by dispensary and were treated. But everything finally it was done.

Our young people need more seminars to help them know the truth. I thank everyone who participated in one way or the other to make it happen. The youths enjoyed very much and were very happy. When toured factory to they were very happy moving from one section to the other And the instructor was very keen teaching on how Tea is processed.
We are looking forward to having women’s seminars too. This will help them know how to serve God. Challenges in their marriages will be healed up by teaching how to cop with the challenges of this life.
I’m thinking of doing it next year.  The work in Kisii is moving on well and it’s my prayer that May Yahweh of Abraham Isaac and Jacob open more doors in Jesus name.
Thanks again and God bless you and yours abundantly beyond measure in Jesus name.
Yours fellow disciple of the Christ.
         Ezekiel Ombaso Oanda.

Malawi-based Pastor Radson Mulozowa sent the following photos and report on youth camps he oversaw:

Greetings from Malawi and Mozambique church

We are all fine by the grace of God and the work of God is growing by the grace of God
Let me report to you that this year youth camp meeting was very great compared to last year youth camp
As planned to have two camp meeting, one in Malawi and another one in Mozambique, but as a result of more youth coming we minimize the number by having four youth site namely
     Migowi
     Chileka
While in Mozambique
     Duya and Nasiyaya
We thank God for protecting and guide us . The youth have totally enjoyed the meeting , …
Let me request your prayers as we are having leaders meeting together with their wives
Best regards
Radson

Remember that in the end time, we are to work to, “turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers” (Malachi 4:6). Youth camps are just one way to help do that.

Suggested Sabbath Services

Here is a suggested Sabbath day service for our scattered brethren and other interested people for the Last Great Day Sabbath service:

Note: If you have a slow internet connection, you can watch these by starting the video, then below it (and towards the right) look for an outline of a gear–if you click on that, it will allow the YouTube video to be played with lower video quality, but at least it will not stop often–you can select a quality as low as 144p. If your internet connection is still too slow (as my home one is) and/or you prefer audio messages to audio-visuals ones, go to the YouTube link for the message, click on SHOW MORE related to the description. You will then see something that says, “Download MP3.” Below that is a link to an MP3 file. Most computers (and even some cellular telephones) will allow MP3 files to be downloaded and played. This is an option we have made available (but we are also looking into ways to improve that as well)–and, of course, we have written article options. Some people have found that if their internet connections are not fast enough, that they can simply listen to the messages that are found at the Bible News Prophecy online radio channel.

IN CASE YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A ‘LETTER TO THE BRETHREN’ FOR ANY WEEK, REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE MANY SERMON MESSAGES ON THE ContinuingCOG channel AND MANY SERMONETTE MESSAGES ON THE Bible News Prophecy channel. There are also some messages at the CCOGAfrica channel. There are also messages in the Spanish language at the CDLIDDSermones channel.

World News Items

A member suggested I watch a video related to red heifers and I learned that the Jews have now disqualified two of the five that came to Israel in 2022 (see Red Heifers, 2 disqualified, 3 potentially left–might one be sacrifices in 2025?). We may well see one officially sacrificed in 2025.

Yesterday, there look to have been at least three terrorist attacks, a murderous one in New Orleans and an explosion in Las Vegas (see Murderous terrorist plows Ford pickup truck into a crowd in New Orleans–Tesla truck blown up in Las Vegas) and a mass shooting in Queens, New York (see New Orleans and Las Vegas terrorists have links, plus 10 shot in Queens). The Bible warns the end time descendants of Israel, “There shall be terror within” (Deuteronomy 32:25), and sadly we will see more of it.

There continue to be international concerns about statements from US President-elect Donald Trump. His comments about using the US military to deal with cartels in Mexico has upset leaders in that country (see Mexico is concerned that Donald Trump may authorize military strikes against cartels–could Mexico one day turn against the USA militarily?). The US is turning what it considers to be a subordinate ally into a potential enemy.

In other international news, Thailand has decided to join the BRICS+ alliance (see Thailand accepts Russia’s invitation to become part of the BRICS+ alliance). US sanctions policies and, now tariff threats, are encouraging nations to trade more with each other and less with the US (see also US caused BRICS? If Saudi Arabia fully joins, could that kill the petrodollar?).

Over in Europe, the CERN scientists have seen the largest form of antimatter now known in the Large Hadron Collider (see Scientists at the Large Hadron Collider discovered the heaviest form of antimatter ever observed!). Antimatter has massive destructive potential and may one day be used against the US by the coming European King of the North Beast power (cf. Daniel 11:39).

Concluding Comments

The Apostle Paul wrote:

6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; (Philippians 1:6-7)

If you endure, you will make it (cf. Matthew 10:22)

How will that be done?

This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6)

Brethren, allow the Spirit of  Jesus to live and dominate your life.

5 For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we may boldly say:

“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6)

Yes, if we truly trust in God we will make it.

That is something you can be confident of.

Sincerely,

Bob Thiel
